A packing list that builds itself from your holiday

Every packing list template on the internet has the same problem: it does not know where you are going or what you are doing when you get there. It suggests hiking boots to someone going to a beach club.

Your holiday already contains the answer. If Tuesday is a boat trip that needs swimsuit, ID and sunscreen, and Friday is a dinner you are wearing a black dress to, then your packing list is most of the way written.

Three sources, one list

  • Bring items from your plans: the towel, sunscreen and ID you attached to the beach day
  • Your outfits: "black dress + gold sandals" becomes a black dress and gold sandals
  • Anything you add yourself: charger, toothbrush, headphones

Duplicates are merged, not repeated

Sunscreen appearing on three different days does not mean packing three bottles. It appears once, and tapping it tells you which three plans wanted it.

Matching is done on normalised text, so "a towel" and "Towels" are recognised as the same thing. There is no AI involved and nothing to configure.

Your list is yours

Six people on the same holiday get six packing lists. They share the bring items from the group's plans, but each person's outfits are their own and each person's ticks are their own.

You ticking off your passport does not tell the group you have got theirs.

Grouped so it matches how you actually pack

Items land in Clothing, Essentials, Toiletries, Tech or Other. The categories are guessed from the text and you can move anything you disagree with. It is a checklist, not a filing system.

It keeps up with the plan

Add snorkelling on Thursday and whatever it needs joins your list. Cancel it and the items drop off again, unless you have already packed them, in which case they stay. Nothing quietly unpacks your bag.

Questions

Can I use the packing list on the free tier?
Yes, in full. The free version limits the number of people on a holiday, not what the holiday can do.
Can I remove something the app added?
Yes. Removing a derived item hides it for good rather than deleting it, so the next sync does not simply put it back.
Does it suggest things I have not thought of?
No. It reflects your holiday back at you rather than guessing. If you want a starting point, our destination packing guides are a good place to begin.
