Terms of service

Holiday Board is run by Winston Dube. Using it means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

You need an account, and the email address on it must be one you control. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into it.

One account is for one person. Sharing a login with the rest of the group defeats the point, and it makes the money ledger meaningless.

The free version covers one holiday with two people on it, planned out in full.

A Holiday Pass is £6.99, paid once, and unlocks one holiday for everybody on it permanently. It belongs to the holiday, not to a person, so a group of eight pays it once between them.

Unlimited is £34.99 a year and covers every holiday you organise. It renews yearly until you cancel it, and you can cancel any time.

Prices include VAT where it applies. If a price changes it will not change what you have already bought.

A Holiday Pass unlocks the holiday immediately, so by buying it you are asking us to start straight away and you agree that this ends the fourteen-day right to change your mind that normally applies to things bought online.

That said: if something is broken, or it plainly is not what the page said it was, email us and we will refund you. We would rather do that than argue.

Cancelling Unlimited stops the next renewal. It does not refund the year you are in, and your holidays stay unlocked until the year runs out.

Your holidays, your photos, your lists and your notes belong to you. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people you invite to that holiday, which is the only way the product can work. We do not use what you write to advertise anything, and we do not sell it.

What you upload must be yours to upload, and must not be illegal or somebody else’s private material posted without them knowing.

• Use it to harass anybody, or to store material you have no right to hold.
• Try to reach another person’s holiday, account or data.
• Automate against it in a way that degrades it for other people.
• Resell access, or present it as your own product.

We can suspend or close an account that does any of this. Where it is reasonable to warn you first, we will.

Holiday Board is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, never lose anything, or never contain a mistake.

It is a planning tool, not a booking agent and not a travel provider. It does not book, hold or guarantee anything, and the times, places, weather and exchange rates it shows are for planning. Check anything that matters — a flight, a reservation, a closing time — with whoever is actually providing it.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your rights as a consumer under UK law stand whatever this page says.

Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a missed booking, a spoiled trip, lost profit — and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we can stop offering the service altogether — if we ever do, we will give reasonable notice and a way to get your holidays out first.

If these terms change materially we will tell you before the change applies to you. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
