A girls trip planner that covers outfits as well as flights
A girls trip has a particular failure mode. The flights get booked in about four minutes, and then nothing else gets decided until the night before, when six people simultaneously realise nobody knows what the plan is for Thursday and two of them have packed the same dress.
Holiday Board is built for the middle bit.
Outfits, out in the open
Every plan can hold one outfit per person. On Friday's dinner, everyone can see that Sarah is in a black dress, Amy is in a green jumpsuit and Katie is in white, before anyone zips a case.
This is the feature people are usually surprised is missing everywhere else. It is not a novelty. It stops the specific, avoidable disappointment of two people turning up in the same thing.
Leave times, because getting six people out is the hard part
Dinner at 20:00 does not mean leaving at 20:00. Holiday Board keeps the leave time separate and shows it in bold, so "we are leaving at 19:15" is a fact on a screen rather than something one person keeps shouting up the stairs.
One person books, nobody chases
Whoever books the boat writes it in and marks it booked, with the reference in the notes and the confirmation as a link. Everyone else stops asking.
The money conversation, shortened
Villa on one card, taxis on another, dinners split three ways because two people were not drinking. Log it as you go and at the end you get something like "Amy pays Sarah £25, Jess pays Sarah £15", which is a much better conversation than an itemised argument in an airport queue.
Packing that reflects the actual trip
Everything the group said to bring, plus your own outfits, becomes your packing list. Sunscreen wanted by three different days appears once. Your ticks are yours.
One payment for the whole group
The organiser pays £6.99 once and invites everyone. Nobody else pays anything. Given that this is usually the person already fronting the villa deposit, that felt like the only fair way to do it.
Questions
- How many people can go on one trip?
- As many as you like once the holiday is unlocked. The free version covers two, which is enough to try it properly.
- Can everyone add things or just the organiser?
- Everyone can add plans, times, bring items and expenses. Only the organiser can change the dates or the guest list.
- Can we see the weather while planning outfits?
- Yes, each day shows a forecast once a reliable one exists, which is roughly two weeks out.
- Is any of it public?
- No. Trips are private to the people on them and are never indexed by search engines.
