A holiday planner you do not subscribe to

Travel is episodic. Most people take two or three holidays a year and think about them for a few weeks each time. A monthly subscription bills you for the other eleven months.

That is why the main way to pay for Holiday Board is once, per holiday.

How the pricing works

  • Free: one holiday, planned out in full, with one other person on it. Includes splitting the money
  • Holiday Pass, £6.99: unlocks one holiday permanently, for everyone on it. Paid once
  • Unlimited, £34.99 a year: every holiday unlocked, unlimited travellers. Optional

The pass belongs to the trip, not the person

This is the part worth being clear about. If eight people go to Malta, the total cost is £6.99, not £55.92. Whoever organises pays, and everyone they invite gets the full version at no cost.

What happens if you stop paying

Nothing disappears. A holiday unlocked with a pass stays unlocked forever, with no renewal.

If you take Unlimited and let it lapse, every holiday you already created stays exactly as it is. You simply cannot create new fully unlocked holidays until you renew or buy a pass for the next one.

We do not hold holiday data hostage. That includes your plans, your packing list, your outfits and your expense history.

When a subscription genuinely is better value

If you travel constantly, a subscription product may well suit you better, and some of them are very good. Our own Unlimited plan exists for exactly that reason and we tell you on the pricing page precisely when it overtakes buying passes, which is at three holidays a year.

What is deliberately not here

Holiday Board does not search flights, book hotels, recommend restaurants or run a marketplace. It organises a holiday you have already decided to take. If you want discovery and booking, a full travel platform is the right tool and this is not trying to be one.

Questions

Is there really no monthly plan?
No monthly plan at all. One-off passes, or an optional annual plan.
Do I need to enter a card to start?
No. The free tier needs an email address and nothing else.
Is the £6.99 per person?
No. It is per holiday, and covers everyone invited to it.
Will the price go up later for holidays I already unlocked?
No. A holiday unlocked with a pass stays unlocked at no further cost, whatever happens to pricing afterwards.
